Lohva Yvonne Bomstad was born August 12, 1932 in Lake Lillian, MN to Harris and Vivian (Anderson) Wenberg. She grew up at Lake Lillian and attended country school and Atwater High School. Lohva married Julius "Bud" Bomstad and they had six children. Besides being a homemaker and farm wife she was very active at the United Methodist Church in rural Lake Lillian. Music was a huge part of Lohva's life, whether playing piano by ear or singing for funerals, weddings, community occasions, or weekly church worship. Lohva passed this passion on to her children and they have fond memories of singing together. She was also a great cook, baker, especially making cakes, and enjoyed collecting music boxes and frogs. Lohva also enjoyed animals, dogs, and just being outdoors. Most importantly Lohva loved Jesus!
Lohva is survived by her children: Mike (and Deb) Bomstad of Pickens, SC, Kathie Berg of Bemidji, Chriss Wohlleber (and Davie) of St. Cloud, Pam Bomstad of Redwood Falls, and Tim (and Ellen) Bomstad of Inver Grove Heights; her 13 grandchildren; her 14 great-grandchildren; her three nieces and one nephew.
Lohva was preceded in death by her parents; her son Kirby Bomstad; and her brother Mark Wenberg.
