Robert William Foesch was born January 7, 1944 on the family farm in Melville Township, rural Bird Island, MN, to Erwin and Delilla (Laffen) Foesch. He grew up on the farm and graduated from Bird Island High School. Bob served his country for four years in the Army National Guard. He married Jeanne Robben on January 19, 1963 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hector. They first lived in Bird Island, then on the farm for many years, and in 1999 Bob and Jeanne returned into town where they have resided ever since. Besides farming for many years he was employed at Jackpot Junction for 23 years where he was in charge of maintenance. Bob enjoyed visiting with anybody and everybody, fishing, playing cards, car races, trips to the Hutchinson Sales Barn, and sharing his Double Stuffed Oreos. Being very mechanical he was a great handyman and since he loved keeping his yard immaculate he could often be found mowing lawn even with his oxygen tank attached. Bob's family will always remember his incredible dedication to caring for Jeanne in countless ways....even lovingly holding hands so often when they were together.
Bob is survived by his wife Jeanne Foesch of Bird Island; his children: Lisa Hirschman (and Tim Kremer) of Lake Lillian, and Billy (and Michelle) Foesch of Bird Island; his 10 grandchildren: Melody, Robert, Elizabeth, Brady, Zachary, Abby, Adrianna, Marikia, Isaiah, and Blake; his three great-grandchildren: Harper, Maxwell, and Kyler; his step-mother Doris Foesch of Olivia; his brother-in-law Tom Tersteeg of Olivia; his step-siblings: Jon (and Nancy) Henslin, LaDon (and Annette) Henslin, Eunice (and David) Wallis, and Vickie (and Wayne) Radloff.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; his brother and sister-in-law Ray and Charlotte Foesch; and his sister Freya Tersteeg.
