Craig Jungclaus, age 62, of Bird Island, MN, died Sunday, August 16, 2020 at St. Cloud Hospital, St. Cloud, MN. A private family service and burial will be held. Arrangements are with K-M Funeral Home in Lake Lillian.
Craig Orlin Jungclaus was born November 9, 1957 at Olivia, MN, to Norman and Margaret (Riedel) Jungclaus. He grew up on the farm north of Bird Island and graduated from Bird Island Lake Lillian High School. He then attended Technical College in Arizona receiving a degree as an electronic technician. Craig worked for Hutch Tech for many years and it was there he wrote the computer program that led to the patent of the frequency resonance tester. Craig later moved to St. Cloud and worked at a private computer programming company and also wrote a program for St. Cloud State College to assist graduates with their job searches. For the past several years he has driven truck for Dobmeier Trucking in Lake Lillian as well as for other local transporters. Besides his strong work ethic Craig also enjoyed riding his motorcycle, tinkering with his computer and electronics, his cats, and time spent with his family.
Craig is survived by his son Brent (Amanda) Jungclaus of Brooklyn Park; his two grandchildren, Astrid and Bjorn; his mother Margaret Jungclaus of Lake Lillian; his six siblings: Celia (Douglas) Gilbertson of Taunton, Susan (Kevin) Akulin of Cooperstown, PA, Nanci (Daniel) Neubauer of Fargo, Nolan (Susan) Jungclaus of Lake Lillian, Julia (Steve) Dobmeier of Lake Lillian, Scott (Rebecca) Jungclaus of Bird Island; and many nieces and nephews. Craig was preceded in death by his father Norman Jungclaus and his nephew, Duane Gilbertson.
