Henry R. Feldman, age 105, of Renville, died Saturday, July 15, 2017, at the RenVilla Nursing Home in Renville. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at Ebenezer Presbyterian Church north of Renville. The Rev. Anna Williamson will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Renville. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. at the Dirks-Blem Funeral Home in Renville. Visitation will continue on Wednesday one hour prior to the services at the church north of Renville.
Henry R. Feldman was born on June 3, 1912, on the family farm in Ericson Township in Renville County to Reempt and Rena (Van Ellen) Feldman. He grew up on the family farm and attended country school. He was united in marriage to Alydia Aalderks on February 9, 1939, on the Aalderks family farm. They made their home near Sacred Heart for 50 years and later moved into Renville in 1990. Henry was a partner in the Feldman and Schwartz farm machinery dealership in Sacred Heart. In his later years, he continued to locate and sell used machinery, you would often hear him say “I have a guy for that”. He also enjoyed working in the scrap metal business. Henry and Alydia enjoyed spending time and fishing at their cabin on Lake Florida. Alydia passed away on April 26, 1991 and Henry continued to live at his home in Renville until moving into the RenVilla.
He is survived by his siblings: Raymond (and Adelaide) Feldman of Renville, Rena Herman of Willmar, and Richard (and Velma) Feldman also of Renville; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and his siblings: John and Ailt Feldman, and Agnes Grussing.
