Jeremiah Jacobs, age 42, of Bird Island, MN, died Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at RC Hospital in Olivia. Burial will be Saturday, September 23rd at St. Mary's Cemetery. A private family gathering will be held.
Jeremiah Paul Jacobs was born July 19, 1975 at Olivia, MN, to Paul and Deborah (Squibb) Jacobs. He grew up in Bird Island and graduated from BOLD High School in 1994. Jeremiah then attended Willmar Vo-Tech College for auto mechanics. After his schooling he worked with his parents at M&W Auto Clinic for 10 years. Jeremiah then worked at Casey's General Store in Olivia for several years and these past three years as a cook at McDonalds in Redwood Falls. Jeremiah really enjoyed cooking and grilling especially making grilled nachos and quesadillas. He loved family vacations, time together at the family cabin on Big Kandi Lake, and doting on his two nephews and three nieces.
Jeremiah is survived by his parents Paul and Deb of Bird Island; his brother and sister-in-law Jason and Molly Jacobs of Victoria and their sons: Jack and Gus; his sister and brother-in-law Jessie and Bob Hawkinson of Plymouth and their daughters Sophie, Lila, and Macy ; his maternal grandmother Dolly Squibb of Bird Island; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Jeremiah was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Doug Squibb; and his paternal grandparents Sylvester and Maxine Jacobs.
