Gerald Flann, age 79, of Lake Lillian died Monday, November 19, 2018 at Prairie Senior Cottages in Willmar. There will be a private family burial in the Community Cemetery at Lake Lillian. On Sunday, November 25th the family is hosting a time of fellowship from 12:30-2:30 p.m. for Jerry’s friends in the reception hall at United Lutheran Church in Lake Lillian. Arrangements are with K-M Funeral Home of Lake Lillian.
Gerald Wilton “Jerry” Flann was born July 19, 1939 at Willmar, MN, to Palmer and Lorraine (Lundquist) Flann. Jerry was a lifelong resident of Lake Lillian and was affectionately known as “Louie” around town and at work. He spent the majority of his working years at Nelson International in Willmar. He was married to Judy Voeks and they were parents of Todd and Traci. Jerry later married Carol Wanous and they were parents of Chad and he also adopted her son Randy. Jerry was mechanically inclined and besides using those gifts at his job he also enjoyed tinkering in his garage. He had enjoyed deer hunting, racing snowmobiles, being in the pit crew at the race track, and listening to country western music. Jerry will also be remembered for being easy going, well liked, and willing to give anyone a helping hand. Jerry had been a resident of Prairie Senior Cottages these past few years.
Jerry is survived by his four children: Traci (and Steve) Koch, Todd (Ann) Flann, Chad Flann, and Randy Flann; his three siblings: Pat (and Roger) Fimon, JoAnne Flann (and John Schultz), and Tim (and Carol) Flann; his grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his stillborn twins.
