Aniceto Corona Zaragoza, age 82, of Renville, died Wednesday, December 5, 2018, at the RenVilla Nursing Home in Renville. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 11, 2018, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Sacred Heart. The Rev. Dale Svendsen will officiate. Visitation will be Monday from 5-7 p.m. and will continue on Tuesday one hour prior to the services at the church in Sacred Heart. Arrangements are with Dirks-Blem Funeral Service, Renville, MN.
Aniceto Corona Zaragoza was born on May 26, 1936, in Irapuato, Guanajuato, Mexico to Jose and Petra (Corona) Zaragoza. As a young man he worked as a mechanic, mason, carpenter, baker, and also owned three ice cream truck in the valley while living in Texas. In 1989, he began working in Minnesota as a migrant, and later in 1994, he and his family made their home in Minnesota. Aniceto worked for Jennie-O in Willmar and later for Golden Oval in Renville. He enjoyed mechanic work, watching boxing, playing pool, and spending time with his grandchildren. Aniceto’s family would like to thank all the staff at RenVilla Nursing Home for their kind and caring care for our father.
Survivors include his spouse, Maria; his Children: Jose Aniceto Zaragoza, Gilberto Zaragoza, Raul Zaragoza, Norma Zaragoza, Valente Medina, Rodolfo Zaragoza, Petra Marisol Trevino, America Barajas, Denise Zaragoza, Pedro Zaragoza, Windy Zaragoza, and Juan Zaragoza; many grandchildren, his sister Mercedes Diaz; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and other family members.
