Pat Kashmark, age 82, of Renville and formerly of Montevideo died Thursday, June 6, 2019 at the RenVilla Nursing Home in Renville. There will be a memorial service Friday, June 14th at 2:00 p.m. at Dirks-Blem Funeral Home in Olivia with Pastor Dave Drager officiating. Visitation for Pat is Thursday, June 13th from 4-8 p.m. at Dirks-Blem Funeral Home in Olivia will continue Friday, June 14th for one hour prior to the service.
Patricia June Kashmark was born May 20, 1937 in Madison, MN, to Charles and Marie (Skogen) Storlien. She grew up at Madison and graduated from Madison High School in 1955. Pat married George Kashmark and they made their home in Clarkfield. Later Pat moved to Montevideo where she waitressed for many years at Trailways Café. She later worked at Innovex Manufacturing in Montevideo and at Firefly Casino and DeToys Restaurant in Granite Falls. Pat enjoyed listening to music by Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash. She also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, watching TV, and while at RenVilla was fond of doodling. Pat especially enjoyed time with her family. Pat will be fondly remembered for her feisty personality and quick wit.
Pat is survived by her two daughters: Kim (and Michael) Peterson of Lakeville and Angie (and Jason) Stewig of Olivia; her two grandchildren: Heather Peterson and Hank Peterson; and her brothers: Chuck (and Phyllis) Storlien, Roger Storlien, Myron (and Mary) Storlien, and Valgean (and Doris) Storlien. Pat was preceded in death by her parents; and her brothers Orville Storlien, Darrell Storlien, and Reuben Storlien; and her sisters: Lorraine Skoien, Irene Storlien, Delores Boraas.
