Lillian Ahlbrecht, age 82, of Hector, MN died Saturday, July 11, 2020 at Prairie View Assisted Living. A private family service will be held with burial in the Hector City Cemetery. Arrangements are with Dirks-Blem Funeral Service of Olivia.

Lillian Inez Ahlbrecht was born on December 16, 1937 to Emil and Emma (Brtek) Karnik. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Olivia. Lillian graduated from Olivia High School in 1955. She worked at Red Owl and as a telephone operator for Northwestern Bell in Olivia. On August 22, 1959, Lillian was united in marriage to Dwain Otto Ahlbrecht at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, and they were blessed with two children. They lived in Olivia before building a home in Hector in 1960. In 1964, they moved to a farm south of Hector. Lillian helped Dwain on the farm until 1995 when they retired and moved back to town. She enjoyed traveling, crocheting, playing cards, and doing puzzles. Lillian had an immeasurable love for her family and treasured time spent with her grandchildren. After Dwain’s passing in 2016, Lillian moved to Prairie View Assisted Living. She loved the welcoming atmosphere with great care and the many friends that she made during her time there. Lillian will be remembered for her quick wit, spunky attitude, and never leaving her thoughts to question. She was generous with love, time, and advice.

Lillian is survived by her daughter, Sandy (and Rob) Schultz of Belle Plaine; son, Jeff (and Bonnie) Ahlbrecht of Hector; her grandchildren: Chris (and Amanda) Schultz of Belle Plaine, Nathan (and Ashley) Schultz of Waseca, Laura (and Jordan) Buddenhagen of Jordan, Trevor (and Jenna) Ahlbrecht of Hector, and Ben (and Brenna) Ahlbrecht of Hector; and her great-grandchildren: Luke, Logan, & Lacy Schultz, Elinor & Lillian Schultz, and Raiya Buddenhagen.
