We are so sorry to hear about Larry passing away. Our deepest sympathy goes out to the entire family. He was our Loan officer at Farm Credit services for a number of years. He had a great sense of humor, was very compassionate, and helped us through some tough times in the 80's. It was a pleasure to have known him. Richard and Erika Hoversten.

Larry and I got along well. We were both fiercely competitive and we played golf with the 'Cobras' (Crazy Old Bastards Running Amok) nearly three times a week until he moved from Olivia. We loved to play on the same team so we could really concentrate on winning. John Johnston called Larry 'The Voice' because he could really talk, as his family mentioned in his obituary, and we used that nickname on the golf course. We will all miss Larry and his ready smile. I enjoyed working with Larry at Farm Credit for 15 years. He was such a genuine & kind person - so easy to talk to. I miss the fun times golfing & the good conversations we had about our wives & kids (Larry loved his family). Most times we would end up laughing about something. Larry was a good friend & he will be greatly missed. My sympathy to Nancy, his kids, and families.

So sad to learn about the passing of Larry, our sincere condolences to his family. Larry was so personable, our super great loan officer, and such a pleasure dealing with him as our Cty Auditor-Treasurer. He will be truly missed, but his friendly smile and conversations will be treasured memories living on... Peace and Comfort to the family he leaves behind, until you’re with him again.
