Deloris Klatt, age 98, of Lake Lillian, MN died on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at Bethesda Senior Living in Willmar. A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 6, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at United Lutheran Church in Lake Lillian with Pastor Jennifer Thul officiating. Burial will be in the Community Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are by K-M Funeral Home of Lake Lillian.
Deloris Rose Klatt was born on October 25, 1923 to Louis and Amanda (Degner) Miller on the family farm in Melville Township. She grew up in rural Hector and attended country school until seventh grade when she stayed home to take care of her father and brother after her mother went into the nursing home. Deloris was united in marriage to Leslie Klatt in Bird Island on January 26, 1948, and they were blessed with three children. They farmed by Cosmos for ten years before moving to the Lake Lillian area. Deloris was a homemaker throughout her life. Her homemade treats included bread, buckwheat pancakes, and the best cinnamon rolls. She was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church, now United Lutheran, in Lake Lillian taking part in the quilting and peace circles. She was also a member of the Senior Citizens Group of Lake Lillian that played cards together every week. She canned a lot of produce from her garden to feed her family. Deloris enjoyed doing embroidery, playing bingo, and going out to eat at restaurants. She will be remembered for her social personality and the immense love she had for her family, especially her grandchildren.
Deloris is survived by her daughters, Karen Lieberg of Willmar and Beverly Larson of Willmar; grandsons: Andrew (Pailin) Lieberg of Blue Grass, IA, John Lieberg of St. Cloud, Kevin Larson (Kris Knutson) of Willmar, and Donald (Heather) Larson of Willmar; great-grandsons: Philip Knutson, Logan Larson, Zachary (Hannah) Larson, Mark Lieberg, Anthony Lieberg, Tanner Molitor; great-granddaughter, Aielyn (Tyler) Bayerkohler; great-great granddaughters, Leighton Larson and Isla Larson; and many other relatives and friends. Deloris was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Amanda Miller; husband, Leslie Klatt; son, Gary Klatt; sister, Velma (Maurice) Weidner; brother, Lavern (Ethal) Miller; and granddaughter, Susan Lieberg.
